Have A Seat...

These old metal chairs are my weak spot...they're such throw-backs and look (in my opinion) so charming on a front porch.  Alas I have too many and will be getting rid of some soon, so if you're in the Jersey Shore area and have any interest, let me know!

Vintage Motel Chairs

Spent Mother's Day painting the lavender and light green chairs. These chairs are my absolute downfall. I cannot bear to drive past one and not stop, jump out of my car and throw it on in to take home with me. MUCH to the chagrin of my 3 daughters ("Can you please not do this while we're in the car!") and my husband ("What exactly are you planning on doing with all these chairs?"). I have about 18 of these at this point, plus a double glider which needs a little repair.
Spent yesterday painting our front steps a periwinkle color...the neighbors commented favorably, I think, ("Looks great. Very...you.") The house has been a work in progress, over the past year and a half we added 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. So I'm finally getting around to all the garden planning/exterior colors which had been put on hold till the project was finished. I feel utter gratitude that we were able to do this, no whining about the contracting process from me.

Also, the first photo is not my yard, it's just my plan for my yard. Loving the border of plates! And, of course, the metal motel chair. Can't remember where I cribbed the picture from, sorry to not give credit where it is due!
